Qualifications :
- Degree / Diploma in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering from a recognized professional college, leading to an Engineering degree / diploma.
- Valid CSWIP 3.2.2 Senior Welding Inspector or AWS-SCWI certification.
- Professional certification as NDT Level-II in PT, MT, UT & RT Interpretation, certified per SNT-TC-1A / CP-189 or equivalents such as PCN / ISNT.
- Certification in BGAS-CSWIP Painting Inspector Grade 1 / 2 or NACE Level-1 / 2 is advantageous.
Experience and Skills :
Age between 30-55 years, with experience in inspection, testing, and repair of pressure vessels, piping, steel structures, and valves, preferably in an operating company or oil & gas projects.Minimum 8 years for Degree holders or 12 years for Diploma holders, with at least 5 years as a QA / QC Inspector post-certification.Good knowledge of international codes, standards, and specifications related to materials, welding, fabrication, inspection, and testing.Ability to interpret drawings, P&ID’s, material standards, and project specifications.Proficiency in NDT techniques such as RT, UT, MT, PT, and radiograph interpretation.Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.Job Responsibilities :
Prepare QA / QC documents like quality plans, inspection & test plans, procedures, WPS, and qualification records.Support shutdown planning, review work packs, and perform critical material inspections.Conduct stage-wise inspections during repair, modification, or replacement jobs, including material inspection and pressure testing.Perform valve inspections, review MTCs, witness testing, and prepare reports.Inspect purchased or rented materials and equipment, ensuring conformity with specifications.Coordinate NDT activities, interpret reports, and maintain detailed records.Perform inspections during fabrication and erection, including visual, dimensional, and NDT techniques.Provide supervision for QA / QC activities such as welding, painting, NDT, and hydrostatic testing.Assist in supplier audits and provide technical evaluations.Utilize computer applications for report preparation and communication.Undertake additional duties as directed by the supervisor.Application :
