Overview

Location : The Ritz-Carlton Doha. The role supports guest services at the front desk and ensures the highest standards of hospitality in alignment with The Gold Standards of The Ritz-Carlton.

Responsibilities

  • Process all guest check-ins, verify guest identity and form of payment, assign rooms, and issue room keys.
  • Set up accurate guest accounts according to requirements; enter Marriott Rewards information; ensure rates match market codes; document exceptions.
  • Secure payment prior to issuing room keys; verify / adjust billing; compile and review daily reports / logs / contingency lists.
  • Complete cashier and closing reports; supply guests with directions and property information; accommodate guest requests and follow up to ensure needs are met.
  • Process all payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, and charges; balance and drop receipts; count and secure bank at shift start and end.
  • Obtain manual authorizations and follow all Accounting procedures; notify Loss Prevention / Security of any theft reports.
  • Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role model and uphold the Guarantee of Fair Treatment / Open Door Policy.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships; support team goals; adhere to company policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions; ensure personal appearance is clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets; ensure adherence to quality standards; operate computers / POS systems; stand, sit, or walk for extended periods; handle objects up to 10 pounds.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Education : High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience : At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience : At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • License or Certification : None.
