Job Title : HVAC Technician – Oil & Gas

Location : Qatar

Job Summary :

We are seeking a qualified and experienced HVAC Technician to support heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in our Oil & Gas facilities . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance and troubleshooting in hazardous or industrial environments, with strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities :

Install, inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment (chillers, AHUs, FCUs, ductwork, split units, exhaust fans, etc.).

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in compliance with OEM manuals and maintenance schedules.

Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues including electrical faults, refrigerant leaks, and control system malfunctions.

Monitor system performance, adjust controls, and replace defective parts to ensure optimal functioning.

Maintain logs and records of all maintenance work, refrigerant usage, and system performance data.

Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, especially in hazardous or classified zones.

Support other maintenance personnel and coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation teams as required.

Conduct inspections and report unsafe conditions, taking corrective action when necessary.

Participate in toolbox talks, HSE audits, and emergency drills.

Qualifications :

Diploma / ITI in HVAC, Mechanical, or a related technical field.

Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience as an HVAC Technician in Oil & Gas , petrochemical, or heavy industrial environments.

Good knowledge of HVAC systems including VRV / VRF, chilled water systems, and package units.

Familiarity with HSE requirements in oil & gas operations and confined space entry procedures.

Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.

Physically fit and willing to work in challenging environments, rotational shifts, or offshore sites.

Preferred Certifications :

HVAC Technician Certification (e.g., EPA / CFC handling certification)

H2S Awareness & Breathing Apparatus

BOSIET (Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training) – if offshore

Permit to Work (PTW) System Training

Fire Fighting and First Aid Certification
