Job Summary

Effectively manage the operations team to ensure smooth running of various backend processes such as account opening, control and settlement. Liaise with other departments to provide support for trade and sales operations.

Main Responsibilities

Shareholders & Financials

Adhere to departmental budget

Ensure declared turnaround time for processes is met

Demonstrate clear understanding of QNBFS financial & non-financial performance factors

Implement KPIs and best practices for AVP Operations

Promote cost consciousness and efficiency to minimize cost, avoid waste, and optimize benefits

Act within delegated powers

Customer (internal & external) :

Approve account-opening forms in the absence of Sr. Manager / Manager-Operations and for margin trading accounts

Ensure adherence to back-office policies, procedures, and regulatory compliance

Oversee and monitor back-office operations

Manage and implement operation and settlement best practices across activities to ensure efficiency and customer satisfaction

Maintain strong relationships with custodians, counterparties, banks, sub‑custodians, brokers, auditors to achieve functional goals

Manage, train and motivate operation team to enhance service quality

Provide technical expertise and guidance to operations area as needed

Ensure efficient operation of local shares, fixed income and other QNBFS products and services and settlement with highest quality speed and efficiency

Performance appraisal of all back‑office operations staff

Coordinate between QNBFS front and back office

Maintain service standards

Internal : ensure adherence to policies and regulatory compliance; oversee back‑office operations; maintain ISO 27001 standards and information security

Identify Department development needs and arrange technical, product and skills training

Ensure employees work in accordance with company standards, regulation and ethics

Proactively identify areas for professional development

Stay current with developments in the professional field

Legal, regulatory and risk : comply with AML, sanctions, data protection, fraud control, whistleblowing, conflict of interest policies; perform under Three Lines of Defense; support RCSA, KRI, incident reporting and remediation; maintain training and competence; attend seminars

Other :

Maintain high standards of data protection and confidentiality for commercially sensitive information; safeguard customer and internal data; uphold QNB's reputation and market leadership; perform ad‑hoc duties as requested

Education and Experience Requirements

At least 10 years of experience in a customer service center with 5 years at a brokerage firm

Bachelor’s degree; CA / CPA / ACCA or equivalent

Excellent professional record of accomplishment

Knowledge of the marketplace

Computer literate with knowledge of brokerage software and QFIT requirements

Fluent in Arabic & English

Well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving skills

Knowledge of QE & QFMA regulations desirable

Exceptional organization and time management skills

Ability to work under extreme pressure and prioritize functions

Excellent leadership skills
