Responsibilities for the Commis Chef - Colleague Restaurant role include : Learning and practicing various cooking methods under senior chefs’ supervision Regularly cleaning and sanitizing kitchen tools, utensils, and equipment Assisting in meal preparation as directed by senior chefs, such as the Sous Chef or Chef de Partie Receiving, checking, and storing deliveries of fresh food and supplies Participating in different kitchen sections to gain comprehensive knowledge Qualifications
Experience as a Commis Chef with proficiency in various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and hygiene standards Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and work efficiently under pressure Culinary school diploma or equivalent qualification At least 1-2 years of experience in a well-established restaurant or full-service hotel kitchen
