ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Key Responsibilities : Develop Electrical Designs : Create electrical designs for buildings, facilities, and infrastructure projects using Revit software. This includes, but is not limited to : Designing power distribution systems and preparing Single Line Diagrams (SLD), Lighting layouts, small power layouts, and cable routing layouts, Fire Alarm Systems Lightning protection & earthing systems. Conduct design calculations, including electrical load calculations, power distribution studies, circuit breaker & cable sizing, cable tray sizing, battery sizing, panel schedules, and voltage drop calculations. Prepare technical drawings such as electrical schematics, layouts using CAD / Revit, 3D models, and design documents, ensuring compliance with local regulations (Kahramaa, QCDD, MOI) and international standards. Coordinate with other disciplines by collaborating with electrical, architectural, structural, and MEP teams using Revit for seamless integration of electrical designs. Evaluate equipment specifications by consulting with local suppliers and recommend suitable electrical equipment. Provide technical support and guidance to project teams, including engineers and draftsmen, on electrical design tasks. Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in electrical engineering design. Conduct regular quality reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of electrical models, drawings, and documentation. Assist the QS team in producing BOQ for electrical systems. Key Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, especially in design. Experience with commercial, residential, or industrial projects, particularly STP & Pumping stations. Strong understanding of electrical codes, international standards, and local regulations (PWA, Kahramaa, QCDD, MOI). Excellent communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders, especially regarding Revit design requirements. Proficient in CAD (AutoCAD), Revit, and electrical design tools like ETAP and Dialux. Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality design documentation.
