Storekeeper

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store all automobile spare parts in the designated store / warehouse.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels, receipts, issues, and returns.
• Ensure proper labelling, tagging, and safe storage of all spare parts to prevent damage or loss.
• Issue spare parts to workshop technicians, service staff, or as per approved requisitions.
• Verify incoming spare parts against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
• Monitor stock levels regularly and prepare requests for replenishment as needed.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on stock availability, usage, and shortages.
• Assist in identifying the correct spare parts for workshop teams when required.
• Maintain proper housekeeping of the store to ensure parts are organised, clean, and accessible.
• Follow proper storage and handling procedures for oils, lubricants, batteries, and other sensitive parts.
• Support annual and periodic physical stock counts and reconcile variances.
• Coordinate with procurement, accounts, and suppliers regarding orders, returns, and replacements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Report any shortages, damages, or non-moving / obsolete stock to management promptly.
