Structural Draftsman

Structural Draftsman Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed structural drawings including layout sections and elevations for concrete structures like slabs beams columns footings and walls Produce detailed reinforcement rebar drawings and bar bending schedules BBS for various structural elements ensuring compliance with the relevant codes and project specifications Develop and update General Arrangement GA drawings for reinforced concrete structures Collaborate with structural engineers to understand design requirements and incorporate necessary modifications into the drawings Ensure that all drawings are dimensionally accurate and detailed to avoid construction errors Maintain a high level of detail in the reinforcement detailing specifying the location size type and spacing of rebars Ensure drawings and documentation are in accordance with project schedules and meet quality standards Coordinate with site teams and contractors to clarify drawing details and resolve issues that may arise during construction Review and revise drawings based on engineering changes or site requirements Maintain drawing logs and issue drawings in an organized manner ensuring all versions are tracked and updated as required Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and reports as required Requirements Proficiency in AutoCAD and other drafting software like Revit Tekla Structures or other BIM tools Excellent understanding of concrete structural systems and reinforcement detailing standards Knowledge of bar bending schedules BBS and reinforcement codes of practice e g BS 8666 ACI 315 Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings Strong communication skills for collaboration with engineers architects and site teams High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in drawings and rebar detailing Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Structural Engineering or related field A minimum of 710 years of experience as a structural draughtsman with a focus on concrete and reinforcement detailing Experience in working on medium to largescale projects including commercial residential or infrastructure projects Candidate should have valid Qatar ID Available to join immediately Job Location Qatar
