Accountabilities :
This position supports the Drilling & Wells Lead within the Phase 4 – Integrated Development Engineering Group (P4-IDEG) in all aspects of drilling and wells-related studies. The role spans Screening, Conceptual, Pre-FEED, and FEED phases through to Final Investment Decision (FID).
The Senior Completions & Stimulation Engineer ensures technically sound design and planning for completions and stimulation, incorporating both existing and emerging technologies. The focus is on maximizing reservoir recovery through optimal completion strategies, including artificial lift and stimulation techniques.
Additionally, the role ensures wellhead platform (WHP) designs support safe and efficient servicing and intervention over the well lifecycle. The position also provides support during internal reviews and external shareholder workshops and stage gate evaluations.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and assist in well engineering studies for both greenfield and brownfield development projects.
Contribute to all development phases while maintaining cross-functional collaboration.
Perform engineering studies to assess overall feasibility of future developments.
Act as a key interface between Drilling & Wells and other disciplines.
Prepare detailed and timely documentation for management and shareholder review.
Promote innovation in engineering design, with a focus on operational and cost efficiency.
Work independently within tight deadlines and evolving project scopes.
Communicate effectively in a multi-disciplinary project environment.
Key Activities
Identify drilling-related risks and maintain an up-to-date risk register for each development phase.
Ensure compliance with internal and industry HSE standards during all phases of study.
Prepare formal requests for exception when deviations from standard practices are necessary.
Identify platform design requirements and coordinate with Field Operations to ensure long-term serviceability.
Lead completion design studies, incorporating reservoir and geoscience input to optimize artificial lift and maximize recovery.
Serve as the subject matter expert for stimulation domain studies in Phase 4.
Participate in technical reviews and vendor meetings, providing expert input and recommendations.
Identify and propose engineering solutions to technical and operational challenges.
Deliver high-quality reports, presentations, and technical documents to support project progression.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience :
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Master’s preferred)
Professional Experience :
8–10 years in completions and stimulation engineering
Minimum 2–3 years offshore experience
Experience with jack-up rigs and shallow water operations (approx. 50–55 meters)
Technical Competencies :
Strong expertise in completions, interventions, and well services
Thorough knowledge of artificial lift systems, well servicing methods, and stimulation techniques (including fracking)
Familiarity with coiled tubing, wireline, and slickline conveyance modes
Experience in field development planning and EPC projects is advantageous
Proficiency in well planning tools (Landmark Suite – StressCheck™) and reporting software (WellView™)
Advanced MS Office skills
