Position :
Commissioning Piping Leak Engineer Location :
Doha, Qatar This role is crucial in ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant commissioning of piping systems across complex oil, gas, and refinery projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in pre-commissioning, commissioning, leak testing, and reinstatement, with the ability to coordinate effectively with project teams and contractors. Responsibilities
Lead
pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
for piping systems, including flushing, drying, nitrogen purging, and leak testing. Conduct
hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure testing , line checking, and P&ID verification. Manage
punch list closure, documentation, and commissioning dossiers
in compliance with project standards. Supervise and coordinate contractors and workforce to ensure safe and efficient execution of commissioning works. Ensure compliance with
Permit-to-Work (PTW) systems , QA / QC, and HSE requirements. Support
system handover
to operations teams with complete documentation. Qualifications and Experience
Education :
Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or relevant Engineering discipline. Experience :
Minimum 5–10 years in piping pre-commissioning and commissioning, hydrostatic / pneumatic testing, and leak testing within oil, gas, or refinery projects. Technical Skills :
Strong knowledge of
piping systems, commissioning procedures, static equipment, line checking, and QA / QC coordination . Familiarity with PTW systems and project documentation. Certifications :
Training in
PTW, PPE, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection, H2S Safety
