We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Credit Manager, Client Management based in Qatar.
Responsibilities :
This role is pivotal in shaping the credit strategy for a portfolio of complex, high-value corporate clients operating across multiple jurisdictions. You will be instrumental in driving sound credit decisions, structuring tailored financing solutions, and ensuring a robust risk & returns culture across the portfolio. The position offers exposure to strategic sectors, cross -border transactions, and senior internal and external stakeholders.
International Mid – Market Segment is focusing on multi-jurisdictional clients with minimum annual turnover of USD 50 million with multi-jurisdictional operations and requiring wide range of HSBC solutions.
In this role, you will be :
- Conducting complex credit reviews as well as supporting the relationship team with credit analysis and the structuring of facilities, ensuring focus is given to minimising credit risk.
- Tracking the financial performance of the client and ensuring they continue to be able to comply with the terms of the banking facilities provided.
- Supporting key product partners , Global Payment Solutions (GPS), Global Trade Services (GTS), Private Bank (PB), Global Markets (GM), and Investment Banking ( IB) to ensure the needs of our existing customers are met.
- Ensuring your knowledge of developments within specific industries, economy, procedural, regulatory requirements etc. is up to date and you use current market intelligence to support robust and interactive client conversations.
- Actively participating in and contributing to client meetings and external events, supporting the development of, and strengthening of mutually beneficial customer relationships
- Preparing supporting documentation to present at relevant bank committees.
- Acting as a key member of the deal team to ensure transactions are concluded, often within challenging time frames, whilst maintaining compliance with bank procedures.
- Establish an effective working relationship with Risk Management teams, in order to validate the accuracy of the customer risk profile, and ensure sustainable asset growth
- Deliver a high quality service by owning customer engagement, striving for excellence in all interactions with (prospective) customer or other professionals, and always acting according to the highest professional standards
Requirements
To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements :
Proven ability, with a successful record of accomplishment in risk management, operational and regulatory, credit analysis and judgmental lendingKnowledge of the Corporate Banking market both globally and specifically relating to the local environment, including the competitive landscape, with a detailed knowledge of competitor propositions.Honed analytical skills with a strong emphasis on credit and operational riskExcellent interpersonal skills with a particular emphasis upon inspiring, influencing and negotiating in dealing with customers and colleaguesCommercial acumenBachelor’s degree in finance, Business, related field or equivalent experienceUnderstanding of local operating markets and their corresponding span(s) of control within assigned countryExperience of driving strategic change in a matrix environmentGraduation degree is a must – to secure a Qatar Visa and Work PermitFor further details and application information please visit our careers site, searching under reference number 0000LIAN
