Position Summary The Executive Assistant at the Middle East Council on Global Affairs ME Council is responsible for assisting on a broad range of daily administrative activities related to the Director in specific and ME Council in general Responsibilities include managing the Director s calendar all internal and external correspondence commitments and deadlines Principal Duties and Responsibilities Managing ME Council Director s calendar organize and schedule daily activities and meetings Handling confidential information with the utmost discretion Arranging travel schedule gathering and tracking travel expenses and reimbursements Handling a large volume of mail and phone calls receiving visitors and staff serving as the Director s office liaison with internal and external stakeholders responding to requests from ME Council staff and fellows Forwarding all media calls and email inquiries to the communications department for screening and adequate response Drafting and maintaining correspondence and filing ME Council s electronic and paper documents Reviewing information requests and correspondence received preparing reports and written responses Conducting research assessment and reports to assist the Director with various decisions Attending relevant meetings and preparing meeting minutes Helping in the development planning coordination and supporting strategic and special initiatives Participating and assisting in the development of policies procedures and best practices in a range of areas as needed Providing coordination support as needed within the leadership team for implementation of the Director s priorities Providing a broad range of administrative support as required
