Museum Registrar

Key Accountabilities :

Role purpose :  The AMM Registrar will play a key role working with the collections and on exhibitions, overseeing the management and documentation of all Art Mill Museum’s collections and acquisitions. This includes maintaining meticulous records of accession, cataloguing, condition, and object location. The Registrar is responsible for ensuring the comprehensive registration, documentation, transportation, storage, valuation and preservation of the museum's collections. Collaborating closely with the curatorial, conservation, and collections teams, this role requires the efficient handling of logistical and legal processes related to acquisitions, loans, and exhibitions.

Duties and responsibilities :

Collections Management :

• Oversee and maintain detailed records of the Art Mill Museum’s collections and all acquisitions in the Collections Management System (EMU).
• Ensure proper documentation, condition reporting, and cataloging of all items in the museum’s collection.
• Coordinate storage solutions to ensure the safety, preservation, and accessibility of the collection.
• Liaise with all other QM entities and particularly General Collection.
