IT Cybersecurity Engineer

Location Qatar Experience 1 3 Years Availability Immediate Joiners Preferred Language Arabic Required English Required About the role ALGO Systems Qatar is seeking a proactive and skilled IT Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team The ideal candidate will have a background in IT and cybersecurity with handson experience in implementing and maintaining security systems This is a great opportunity to work on nationallevel infrastructure and smart city projects Key Responsibilities Monitor and maintain network and system security Respond to and investigate security alerts and incidents Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing Assist in developing and enforcing IT security policies and procedures Configure and manage firewalls antivirus SIEM and endpoint protection systems Support in auditing and compliance with local cybersecurity regulations e g NIA QCERT guidelines Maintain documentation related to IT infrastructure and cybersecurity Assist in user access control backups and disaster recovery planning Requirements Bachelor s degree in IT Computer Engineering Cybersecurity or related field 1 3 years of handson experience in cybersecurity or IT support Solid knowledge of Network security principles and protocols Firewalls e g Fortinet Palo Alto IDS IPS Endpoint protection email security e g ESET Sophos Barracuda SIEM tools and log analysis Vulnerability scanning tools e g Nessus OpenVAS Familiarity with cybersecurity standards ISO 27001 NIST or similar Experience with Active Directory Office 365 security settings VPNs Arabic speaking is mandatory Immediate availability is highly preferred Holding a cybersecurity certificate is a plus e g CompTIA Security CEH or equivalent
