The Role
- Provide leadership to a team of Engineers and Draftsmen
- Provide the technical guidance, supervision, quality assurance and quality control for all deliverables
- Schedule and manage the team’s activities
- Prepare delivery forecasts and estimates in coordination with the Project Manager
- Prepare the project’s technical and financial documents
- Manage project schedule and resources in coordination with the Project Manager
- Manage project risks and mitigation measures
- Ensure that deliverables meet contractual requirements in coordination with the Project Manager.
- Represent the company in all internal and external meetings
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
- Undertake staff improvement (e.g., trainings and lessons-learned sessions) and assess employee performance.
- Manage project scope change, scope creep and other contractual matters in coordination with the Project Manager
- Undertake process improvements towards better work efficiency
Requirements
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Civil EngineeringMasters Degree is preferred. Extensive and solid experience may be considered.Familiarity with Ashghal Guidelines and Standards is preferred, but knowledge in other similar standards (e.g. British / European) can be considered.Minimum 15 years of solid experience in the field of road and infrastructure design, including familiarity with land acquisition and site clearance requirements, interface consultation, road safety audits, HSE, sustainability, value engineering, planning, tender preparation, and tender evaluation.Solid knowledge in delivery for the different stages of design development (i.e. concept, preliminary, and detailed).Knowledgeable in the preparation of reports, calculations, presentations, cost estimates, life cycle cost analyses, value engineering, environment, and sustainability.Proven leadership and work management skillsProven ability to interface with internal and external entitiesProven oral and written communication skillsResults driven Required areas of Technical Expertise :Design Management PlanTechnical and Financial Proposals / BudgetsMaster Plan DevelopmentDesign DevelopmentPlanning (Scheduling and Resource Management)Risk ManagementProject ChangeQuality Assurance and Quality ControlHealth, Safety and EnvironmentSustainabilityValue EngineeringCommercial and Contracts ManagementDocument Control and ManagementStakeholder ManagementTender Documentation & Evaluation Required Technical Skills :Knowledgeable in the use MS Office (e.g. word, excel and powerpoint)Understands Primavera SoftwareAbout the company
