Job Summary The Accounts Assistant supports the finance team by performing daytoday accounting and administrative tasks This role involves managing financial transactions maintaining accurate records and assisting in preparing reports to ensure smooth financial operations Key Responsibilities 1 Accounts Payable and Receivable Process invoices payments and receipts Match purchase orders with invoices Monitor outstanding payments and follow up on overdue invoices 2 Bank Reconciliation Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports 3 Record Keeping Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records Input data into accounting software or spreadsheets 4 Payroll Assistance Support payroll processing by preparing employee payment records Ensure compliance with tax and statutory requirements 5 Tax and Compliance Assist in preparing VAT GST or other tax returns Ensure all financial transactions adhere to company policies and regulations 6 Financial Reporting Assist in preparing monthly quarterly and annual financial reports Support audits by gathering relevant financial data and documentation 7 Administrative Duties Handle correspondence with suppliers and clients regarding financial matters Respond to financerelated queries and requests Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field Prior experience in a similar role Strong understanding of basic accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and familiarity with accounting software
