Job Description
- Carry out high-velocity and turbulent oil flushing operations on lube oil, hydraulic, and turbine systems.
- Set up and operate oil flushing equipment such as pumps, filters, hoses, flow meters, and heaters.
- Monitor oil cleanliness levels using particle counters and follow ISO cleanliness standards.
- Ensure proper connection of flushing lines to system components including reservoirs, filters, heat exchangers, and bearings.
- Conduct oil sampling before, during, and after flushing for laboratory analysis or on-site testing.
- Interpret flushing parameters such as flow rate, temperature, and pressure to maintain effective operation.
- Read and understand isometric drawings, P&IDs, and system schematics to plan flushing paths.
- Maintain accurate documentation of flushing procedures, oil analysis results, and system cleanliness records.
- Adhere to safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout all activities.
- Coordinate with maintenance, commissioning, and engineering teams to align flushing operations with system requirements.
Requirements
Diploma or ITI (Industrial Training Institute) certification; Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred.5 years of experience in oil flushing operations, preferably in oil & gas, power plants, or heavy industry.Familiarity with ISO 4406 cleanliness standards and oil analysis techniques.Working knowledge of hydraulic and lubrication systems.Ability to operate flushing units, pumps, filtration carts, and diagnostic tools.Strong understanding of industrial safety practices and permit-to-work systems.Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces, elevated platforms, and industrial environments.Requirements
