Linum Consult’s client is a major international company. They are currently seeking a Buyer to be based in their head office in Doha, Qatar.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting in creating and updating procurement tools and forms to support departmental procurement needs
- Supporting the compilation of departmental procurement requirements into the annual organisational procurement plan
- Executing the procurement process by initiating methods such as tendering or direct purchases
- Issuing and managing purchase orders, ensuring accuracy in the types, quantities, and prices of goods and services
- Coordinating with suppliers to fulfil the company’s purchasing needs, ensuring timely and accurate delivery
- Assisting in the review and tracking of the procurement plan, monitoring expenditures and savings to support report preparation
PROFILE
Degree qualification in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or other relevant subjectAt least 8 years’ experience in similar roles in large companies, with a minimum of 3 years in positions of increasing managerial responsibilitiesExcellent knowledge of SAP or Oracle systemsStrong collaborative and teamwork skills, with the ability to work with key stakeholders, senior executives, and external partnersExcellent communication skills in English, with any Arabic language skills a distinct advantage
