Job Description
The Cargo Delivery Clerk is responsible for coordinating and documenting the receipt and delivery of cargo, ensuring accurate records, compliance with procedures, and smooth coordination between transporters, warehouse / yard teams, and clients.
Requirements
- Process cargo delivery and receipt documentation (delivery notes, gate passes, invoices)
- Verify cargo details against manifests and delivery documents
- Coordinate with transport drivers, warehouse / yard staff, and operations teams
- Ensure correct cargo is released and delivered to authorized parties only
- Maintain accurate records of cargo movements and deliveries
- Update cargo logs and tracking systems
- Report discrepancies, damages, or missing cargo immediately
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and company procedures
- Assist in scheduling deliveries and controlling cargo flow
- Support audits and inspections related to cargo documentation
Requirements
Required Qualifications & Experience
High school certificate / Diploma (Logistics or Business preferred)1–3 years experience in cargo handling, logistics, or warehouse operationsExperience in port, yard, or shipping operations is an advantageBasic computer skills (MS Excel, cargo systems)
