Quantity Surveyor

Job Description Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities BOQs for lighting works including luminaires accessories wiring lighting controls and related components Develop tender documents cost estimates and pricing schedules in accordance with project requirements Assist in value engineering studies to ensure cost effective lighting solutions without compromising quality Review and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations for accuracy completeness and alignment with project specifications Prepare cost comparison reports and commercial evaluation summaries for management approval Support procurement by identifying competitive suppliers and monitoring price trends for lighting materials Review technical submittals from suppliers to ensure compliance with project specifications drawings and standards Coordinate with design and engineering teams to clarify discrepancies in scope quantities or material specifications Ensure all commercial documentation meets project and contractual requirements Maintain accurate and organized records of BOQs quotations tender documents and communication with suppliers Prepare periodic cost reports forecast summaries and budget updates Assist in preparing contract documents variation claims and cost impact assessments Use MS Office Excel and procurement or cost management software for quantity takeoff cost tracking and reporting Ensure accurate and professional formatting of cost documents and tender submissions Skills Bachelor s degree in quantity surveying or related field Skilled in preparing BOQs tender documents and cost comparison reports for lighting works Ability to review supplier quotations technical submittals and ensure compliance with project specifications Proficient in MS Office Excel and procurement cost management software
