The Training Instructor – Armament, will be responsible for preparing and delivering both theoretical and practical training related to the Typhoon aircraft, including specialist and support training. The role involves assessing trainee performance and evaluating the training system's effectiveness. Formal training will take place at the Qatar Typhoon Training Facility (QTTF) and include mentored training within the operational environment. The instructor will also support the Squadron Training Cell in developing, maintaining, and managing the competencies of Squadron personnel. Key responsibilities include : Preparing and delivering courses according to the approved syllabus and training schedule within the Training Management Information System (TMIS). Invigilating and marking examinations and assessments. Monitoring, evaluating, and reporting trainee progress. Developing and managing the competencies of Squadron personnel, as detailed in the job specifications. Ensuring trainees use appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and observe safety procedures. Conducting pre-use equipment checks and ensuring safety and cleanliness of training areas. Maintaining discipline among trainees at all times. Reporting trainee absences to supervisors. Supporting the Qatar Typhoon Training Facility as assigned, including roles such as Subject Lead and Equipment Coordinator. Continuously developing personal instructor competencies and reporting course deficiencies for improvement. Requirements
Training qualification at Level 3 or above (e.g., Level 3 Award in Education & Training, Level 4 Certificate, or Level 5 Diploma). Recognized qualification to NVQ3 / ONC level in a relevant aircraft maintenance discipline or equivalent. At least 5 years of recent experience supporting maintenance and training activities in an aviation environment. Understanding of regulatory frameworks related to training systems and activities. Minimum of 2 years' experience delivering aircraft type training with operational knowledge of instructional delivery and mentoring. Professional understanding of training structures and processes, capable of developing and implementing solutions.
