Plumber (Sanitary Sewer Tech)
Position Summary :
Responsible for providing daily execution of sanitary sewer systems functions and training to military members in accordance with the performance work statement. Services include operation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of selected facility sanitary sewer systems (SSS) in support of base operations.
This is a 100% overseas assignment with the expectation to operate in various environments, including potentially austere or wartime conditions, and may involve shift work, overtime, and exposure to challenging elements.

U.S. Government Secret Clearance Required.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform operations, maintenance, and repair (OM&R) of sanitary sewer systems with a focus on routine inspections, operational testing and balancing, troubleshooting, and repairs. Maintain accurate documentation in the Sewer Management System (SMS). Systems include submersible and diesel de-watering pumps, macerators / grinders, valves, floats, rails, alarm boxes, pump houses, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Deliver technical training through structured lesson plans and defined performance objectives. Provide both theoretical instruction and hands-on demonstrations to enhance the knowledge and skills of personnel in system operations and maintenance.
- Conduct scheduled maintenance activities including coil cleaning, system adjustments, and operational inspections in accordance with manufacturer specifications, applicable codes, and the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
- Interpret and apply information from complex engineering documentation including electrical / electronic schematics, logic diagrams, and mechanical drawings to trace signals, diagnose system malfunctions, and perform necessary repairs using appropriate testing equipment and safety protocols.
- Analyze and follow general installation and repair instructions, adapting component applications to specific system configurations in the absence of detailed technical guidance.
- Provide on-site subject matter expertise during emergency service calls or complex maintenance scenarios. Complete preventative maintenance tasks to ensure uninterrupted system performance.
- Prioritize and execute work orders efficiently using automated maintenance management systems. Adhere to established timelines and work prioritization protocols as defined by contractual requirements.
- Comply with a comprehensive safety program in alignment with Company, OSHA, and United States Air Force (USAF) regulations, ensuring a hazard-free work environment.
- Maintain a professional, sanitary, and organized workspace that is free of dust, debris, and clutter, ensuring all facilities reflect a clean and presentable atmosphere.
- Participate in and adhere to a documented training program that ensures ongoing compliance with technical standards, safety requirements, and operational effectiveness.
- Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and security of all government- and contractor-issued property, including tools, equipment, and facilities.
- Accurately complete all required time reporting documentation and adhere to company timekeeping procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned in support of mission objectives, operational requirements, or contractual obligations.
Qualifications :
3 years of experience specializing in sanitary sewer systemsHands-on experience with testing plumbing systems for leaks, proper pressure, pitch, incline, and elevation.Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current, valid U. S. Passport.Must have and maintain a valid U. S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment.Must accept that position is full time and 100% overseas assignmentHigh School Diploma required.Must have an excellent understanding of all safety directives and polices regarding the operation of equipment.Must have a valid U.S. Driver’s License and able to drive with a manual transmission.Must be able to communicate in English.Must be able to pass a flight line access test and obtain flight line access badge.Must be able to pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.Candidates must successfully complete both online and hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear.Other Requirements :
