Supervisor - Pipe Fitter

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily pipe fitting and fabrication activities onboard vessels and in workshops.
• Review isometric drawings, marine piping diagrams, and work packages to assign tasks to fitters.
• Ensure correct materials, fittings, valves, and consumables are used per project specifications.
• Supervise fabrication, alignment, fit-up, and installation of marine piping systems (bilge, ballast, sea water, fuel oil, air, and hydraulic systems).
• Monitor and guide the team during hydrostatic and pneumatic testing of pipes.
• Coordinate with welders, riggers, mechanical fitters, and QA / QC inspectors for proper sequence of work.
• Ensure compliance with class society standards (ABS, DNV, BV, LR) and shipyard quality procedures.
