Responsibilities

• Provide second line oversight and lead the implementation of Product Risk Governance, including preparing related processes and procedures; engage business units in the identification and assessment of product risks; assess controls to mitigate product-related risks. Ensure that risks related to operational, compliance, legal, fraud, information security, outsourcing, accounting and reconciliation are identified, challenged and managed before product approval and throughout the product life cycle.
• Lead the first line stakeholders on the product risk process, documentation, and responsibilities in the risk governance framework across the Bank, and manage key stakeholders involved in the product.
• Ensure all relevant stakeholders involved in product risk assessment adhere to the Bank’s Product Risk Governance Framework.
• Be responsible for end-to-end product risk assessment processes in alignment with defined SLAs and the Bank’s Product Risk Governance Framework.
• Review and challenge the accuracy and completeness of product documentation; conduct independent product risk assessments of new products and material changes with Compliance, Legal, Information Security, Banking Operations and other stakeholders to validate risks and controls.
• Review and challenge risk mitigation controls proposed by product owners and recommend additional controls where needed.
• Track progress of product risk assessments, conditions and post-approval actions, and maintain a product catalogue with product owners.
• Review and update the product risk assessment policy, templates and user guides; contribute to enhancements of product risk assessment documents.
• Facilitate Product Risk Committee (PCRC) and other risk committees to ensure reporting is accurate and timely.
