Job description

Legal Officer – Arab National

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide legal advice and guidance on all company matters, including contracts, agreements, and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with Qatari laws, regulations, and corporate governance requirements.
  • Advise management on labor law matters, employee disputes, and disciplinary issues.
  • Represent the company before regulatory authorities, arbitration panels, or in legal proceedings if needed.
  • Stay updated with changes in legislation, regulations, and compliance requirements in Qatar and the GCC.
  • Support business development and project teams with legal assessments and risk analysis.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate legal records, case files, and documentation.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent; Masters degree preferred.
  • Must be a licensed lawyer / advocate eligible to practice in Qatar (or GCC with recognition).
  • Minimum 57 years of professional legal experience, preferably in corporate, commercial, and labor law.
  • Strong knowledge of Qatari legal system, corporate governance, and compliance requirements.
  • Previous experience working in oil & gas, construction, energy, or large-scale project environments is an advantage.

  • Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
